Reporting to the Technical Director – Microfabrication, the person filling the position of Manufacturing Technical Specialist (MTS) will be responsible for supporting customer projects as well as C2MI’s technical development team, in the manufacture of prototypes on a complete line dedicated to MEMS manufacturing: CVD, LPCVD, PECVD deposition systems; photolithography equipment; dry and liquid etching; wafer bonding; polishing; metrology and others. He/she will participate in the support of various microfabrication processes and equipment. He/she will also be responsible for product quality monitoring, providing data and analysis to the technical team. Finally, the person will be responsible for training the C2MI Microfabrication team in the use of scientific manufacturing equipment.

Responsabilities

• Support specific customer projects.
• Coordinate and ensure the progress of prototype batches on the production line.
• Inspect and collect wafer data after each manufacturing step to ensure quality.
• Perform development tests for the technical group.
• Gather and compile data for technical group reports.
• Support specific processes or equipment on the microfabrication line.
• Propose changes to manufacturing processes to improve quality, reduce project lead times or cut costs.
• Participate in the organization’s regular production and quality reviews.
• Train C2MI team members in equipment operation and keep training records up to date.
• Carry out any other task assigned by your immediate supervisor in your area of expertise.

Skills required

• High school diploma (DES) or vocational diploma (DEP).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a microsystems manufacturing plant.
• Discipline in work execution.
• Basic knowledge of quality management techniques.
• Scheduling and priority management skills.
• Teamwork skills.
• Autonomy.
• Ability to come up with new ideas for improvement and communicate them.
• Desire to work in a context of creativity, innovation and frequent change.
• Functional spoken and written French and English.
