1. OBJECTIVE

The MiQro Innovation Collaborative Centre (C2MI) recognizes the critical importance of privacy and is committed to establishing robust policies and governance practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and security of personal information.

This policy describes our privacy practices, the types of personal information we may receive or collect from you and how we use, disclose, store and protect it. In order to offer you quality services, we need to have access to certain personal information about you. Our employees handle this information with the utmost discretion and rigor, in accordance with established laws.

 

2.WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION

It is information that makes it possible to identify a natural person, directly or indirectly. Personal information is confidential. Their confidentiality derives from the right to privacy, enabling every individual to exercise control over the use and circulation of his or her information.

Information concerning a person’s position within a company or public body is public and not subject to the laws protecting personal information.

  • Name;
  • Title;
  • Function;
  • The e-mail address, address and telephone number of his place of work;

 

3. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When you apply for a job on our career page or submit an unsolicited application, we collect: your contact information, such as your first name, last name, address, postal code, province, e-mail address or telephone number, information about your previous employment as included in your resume.

Certain information relating to the use of the website is collected, such as technical navigation information on the pages you have consulted on our site, by automated means such as cookies. This information is anonymous and does not allow us to link the user to the data. This information includes :

  • Number of visits;
  • Conversion rate;
  • Average length of visit;
  • Date and time of visit;
  • Actions performed on our site;
  • Pages consulted during visit;
  • Type of device used during the visit;
  • The Web browser used during your visit;

 

4. WHY DO WE COLLECT AND USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

  • As part of a recruitment process;
  • For statistical purposes regarding the use of our website in order to improve the browsing experience;

We collect your personal information primarily from you, but also through Cookies when you use our site.

In general, we collect the personal information we need directly from you, for example when you visit and/or browse our site or when you communicate with us.

We do not rent or sell any of your personal information to third parties and we will not share it with third parties without your consent, unless required by law or necessary as set out above.

With our employees

In the course of their work, our employees may need access to your personal information, for example when you contact us to submit a job application. Their access is limited to what is necessary for the performance of their duties.

With strategic partners

We may use third parties to facilitate our activities. As part of these operations, our strategic partners and service providers may have access to your personal information. Where we use third parties to process any personal information, we implement reasonable contractual and technical safeguards to ensure that such third parties maintain the strict confidentiality of any personal information they process.

When required by applicable law

We may also share your personal information if required to do so by law or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to:

  • Comply with an order of a competent judicial authority, regardless of jurisdiction;
  • Comply with any legal process served on us;

7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We store data only for the period required to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, and we comply with legal requirements regarding the retention of personal information and other laws. The personal information we hold will then be destroyed or deleted in accordance with current standards.

 

8. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We go to great lengths to protect your personal information. We protect your personal information by applying controls appropriate to the sensitivity of the information collected. We employ physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information.

C2MI does not knowingly process personal information from children under the age of 14. If you believe that personal information has been collected from children under the age of 14, or if you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child under the age of 14 has provided us with personal information, you may contact us at protectionrenseignements@c2mi.ca.

 

9. HOW DO WE USE COOKIES?

As mentioned above, we may use various tools to improve your experience on our site and to better understand our visitors. In any case, this data, obtained from cookies, does not allow us to link the data to the user.

A cookie is a small text file that is stored in a dedicated location on your computer, mobile device, tablet or other device when you use your browser to visit an online service.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary and essential to the operation of the site and cannot be deactivated in our systems. Strictly necessary cookies must be present for our site to provide basic functions. 11. HOW TO CONTACT US WITH A QUESTION, COMMENT OR COMPLAINT ABOUT PERSONAL INFORMATION?

C2MI management has set up an internal process for handling privacy complaints. You may report any concerns about the collection, processing or use of your personal information to the Privacy Officer. The manager will be responsible for overseeing the process, conducting appropriate investigations and taking corrective action where necessary. C2MI undertakes to give you feedback within 30 days of service of the complaint.
