JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Technical Director, the MEMS Process Manager will develop, manage and support MEMS microfabrication projects in close collaboration with the Packaging Group. In this team-oriented work environment, the candidate will work closely with customers, process engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver a robust process and high-quality product to customers and C2MI members. Responsabilities
- Support customers and partners with their product development.
- Develop the processes essential to the fulfillment of customer and partner mandates.
- Ensure that these processes are manufacture-ready and can be transferred to mass production plants.
- Master the use of equipment in the MEMS sector, such as photolithography, plasma and liquid etching techniques, wafer cleaning, surface preparation, thin-film deposition, CMP, bonding, electroplating, etc., to provide customers with the best possible manufacturing parameters for their products
- Work in collaboration with partners using the shared equipment to ensure a mutual need and develop a process compatible with everyone’s requirements.
- Provide accurate quality, cost and cycle time data to customers and partners to help them in their business decisions.
- Prioritize projects according to equipment availability, resources, and customer deadlines.
- Implement an improvement plan for the equipment under his/her responsibility, to keep up with the latest technological developments for potential applications.
- Undertake any other task assigned by his/her supervisor in his/her area of expertise.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in physical, electrical, biomedical, chemical or materials engineering, or other related field.
- Management of technical projects.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Teamwork oriented.
- Resourcefulness, initiative and autonomy.
- Basic knowledge in statistics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge or experience in microfabrication (asset).
- MEMS experience (asset).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (asset).
- Cleanroom experience (asset).
