JOB DESCRIPTION
C2MI is the largest center for research and innovation in microelectronics in Canada dedicated primarily to the advanced encapsulation of electronic chips and the development of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). C2MI is a Center of Excellence for Commercialization and Research (CECR) with nearly 200 national and international members from industry and academia.

Under the director, the operator/inspector will be responsible for operating equipment in a product development mode and inspecting parts both at the level of prototypes for which standards are not completely defined only in repeatable operations that require consistency and follow-up.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect parts according to established standards and established procedure.
Learn how to operate certain equipment in production and development mode (under the supervision of the technical group)
Inspect parts for which standards are to be defined.
Participate in the definition of product standards.
Tracking batches on the line.
Conduct the development tests of the technical group and make the related measurements as required.
Collect and compile data to support the technical group in drafting development reports to partners.
Support the technical team in organizing and scheduling applications with clients’ requirements and dates in mind.
Participate in regular reviews of the organization’s production and quality.
Take on all other tasks entrusted by his immediate superior in his area of expertise

SKILLS

Secondary 5 completed.
Experience in a manufacturing environment – ideally equipment operation
Inspection experience
Skills for equipment and machine comprehension
Skills for teamwork.
Leadership and autonomy.
Desire to work in a context of creativity, novelty and frequent changes.
French spoken and written, English an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Permanent position
40 hours / Week (possibility of contract or partial-time)
