MEMSCAP® provides innovative products and solutions based on Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) as well as MEMS contract manufacturing services.

MEMSCAP® mainly addresses 4 market segments: aerospace/defense, optical communications, medical and biomedical, and the IT/consumer market.

MEMSCAP® envisions a world where every phone call made, every data communicated, every life saved in a hospital or in a security mission, every distance abolished or pain reduced, is supported by its MEMS technology.

Competence

We’ve been manufacturing MEMS in our Research Triangle Park, NC facility for nearly 20 years. All four main MEMS processes are supported: Silicon On Insulator (SOI), Bulk Micromachining, Surface Micromachining, and Thick Metal.

MEMSCAP® excels at contract manufacturing because of its versatility as a fab, allowing for the support of multitudes of applications and devices, and willingness to partner with the customer on Development projects. Small lot sizes are no problem at MEMSCAP® so we are able to work inside of small budgets typical of start-ups, university spinouts, academia, and research groups to deliver working prototypes on time and on budget.

C2MI runs a state-of-the-art facility and provides access to leading edge equipment that allow us to develop and demonstrate 8 inch manufacturing for key MEMS products while maintaining ownership of the Intellectual Property.
